The Monteleone Retreat is located just minutes from the village of Monteleone d’Orvieto — one of the most beautiful in Italy — right on the border with Tuscany.
A land still untouched, far from the main tourist routes yet close to art-filled towns like Orvieto, Città della Pieve, and Montepulciano, where life flows at a gentle pace.
Those traveling from Rome or Florence reach it in about two hours, through a landscape of soft hills, vineyards, and olive groves that accompany the journey all the way here.
The Fabro exit on the A1 highway is about 12 minutes from the property. From there, a scenic road leads to the Retreat, winding through fields and woodland. Parking is free.
The nearest train station is Fabro-Ficulle, on the Florence–Rome railway line. Upon request, a private transfer service is available to and from the station. Alternatively, Monteleone can also be reached by local bus routes.
Perugia San Francesco d’Assisi Airport is about 60 km away. Other convenient airports include Rome Fiumicino and Florence Peretola (both about 150 km). On request, the Retreat can arrange dedicated transfers.
